What is the energy certificate?

It is a document that evaluates the energy efficiency of a property on a scale from A+ (very efficient) to F (poorly efficient), issued by qualified experts recognized by the Energy Agency (ADENE) - managing entity of the energy certification system for buildings ( SCE). This document contains information on the construction characteristics of the property and energy consumption. It also includes suggestions for improving energy efficiency. In the document itself, its validity period is expressed, which can go up to 10 years.

What determines the energy class?

The location of the property, the year of construction, whether it is a building or a house, the floor, the area, as well as the type and quality of construction materials, thermal and acoustic insulation. The implanted equipment, namely for water heating and air conditioning, also influence.

How long it takes?

The issuance of the energy certificate must be done by an accredited technician/expert and presupposes a previous visit to the property, to gather all the necessary information and documentation. Normally, the issuance of the certificate can take up to 3 days.
